FWIW I think Ben gets the tone I am trying to get across. It seems important in a time in which the term “evangelical” is increasingly seen as a bad word, and increasing “breaking bad”, to understand what role we are to play in an increasingly complex and hostile culture.

There is no guarantee that Jesus will return in our desired timeframe. Yet we have no reason to be anxious, because even if the timeframe is not guaranteed, the outcome is! We don’t have to waste energy being anxious; we can put it to better use.
