In my latest Substack I explore the assertion by James Wood that we have moved beyond having to appeal to a world committed to finding meaning and purpose in the modern secular project, and towards a world increasingly seeking wonder in a re-enchanted sphere.
You can find that here, and if you’d like to sign up to my Substack (a (generally) weekly long form essay that supplements my ongoing free material on this blog), it’s the cost of a coffee per month. For that you will get upwards of fifty long form pieces dealing with church and culture and their intersections in this rapidly changing world. I’d love you to partner with me in this important work.
