Screen Shot 2020-06-26 at 10.44.26 amWe came up with the title for our podcast Life in Wartime off the back of the statement by our Prime Minister that the pandemic was a war.  Little did we know that that war just handed on the baton to another aspect of the culture wars.  It’s war, war, war, everywhere we look.

And with protestors in London even vandalising Winston Churchill’s statue, it’s clear that politics is the war we are all embroiled in at the moment.

The latest episode – Politics in Wartime – explores the problem of the fracturing of the unity that, for a brief moment, the COVID-19 crisis brought us.

Meanwhile, we polished the good silver and set out the fancy crockery, changing up our The Kitchen Table discussion to The Dining Table, a monthly longer form interview with a public figure who deals in the dark art of politics, culture and theology.

Our first guest is the Foreign Editor of The Australian newspaper, Greg Sheridan. Have a watch here.
